Nämä Designs was founded in  2011 by Ruth Landesa, illustrator based in Helsinki. Nämä started as a web-store offering a personal selection of designs and crafts collected mainly from Finnish craftsmen, makers, designers. Ruth, from the beginning, focused in those products she knew the people and their stories behind and in those related somehow to the Finnish natural and slow lifestyle, mixing in her selection modern, visual, traditional, new, recycled and crafted.

In March 2013, Ruth launched the first collection of home decoration objects she designed for her new brand Nämä Designs. All Nämä products, since then, have been made in Finland by small companies.
